Questions about plan.tattoo

What is plan.tattoo?
A free tattoo planner in your browser. You put any tattoo design on a 3D body, set its size in real centimetres, turn and move it on the skin, and see how it sits before you book. Nothing to install.
Do I need a photo of myself?
No. You choose from 74 plaster casts, male and female: busts, torsos, a forearm, a leg, standing, seated and kneeling figures. Nothing about your body is asked for or stored.
Is it free?
Yes. Open the planner and start, no account needed. A free account (just your email address) keeps your plans and saves pictures of them.
How accurate is the size?
Each body is scaled to adult proportions, so a piece set to 12 cm covers about 12 cm of that body. Bodies differ, so measure the spot on yourself with a tape too, and take both to your artist.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in any up-to-date phone or desktop browser that supports WebGL.
What designs can I use?
Any image: a PNG or JPG, line art, a photo of a drawing, a screenshot. The background lifts off automatically and you can clean up what's left. There are also 20 sample designs to try.
Are my designs uploaded anywhere?
Only if you save a plan to your account. The clean-up runs in your browser, and your work stays on this device until then; a saved plan keeps its designs on your account, for you alone.
Can I move and turn the tattoo?
Yes. Click the body to place it, drag it along the skin, turn it, mirror it, and set its size in centimetres. Front, side and back views are one click away.
Is it an AI tattoo generator?
No. plan.tattoo doesn't make designs; it shows yours on a body, at its real size.
Can my tattoo artist use it?
Show them what you planned: the design, its size in cm, and views of the placement. Artists still redraw a design for the skin.
Is plan.tattoo the same as dollparts?
Yes. plan.tattoo was called dollparts until October 2026, and dollparts.tattoo still leads here.
Who makes it?
